Không lâu sau thông báo về những bản cập nhật mới của vBulletin Board thì vB. Solutions đã chính thức đưa vào chạy thử nghiệm bản 4.1.2 ngay tại trang Community của mình đồng thời cũng đưa ra bản beta cho bộ cập nhật mới này. Không nằm ngoài dự đoán, vB. Solutions cũng đã đưa vào bản cài đặt của mình bộ Mobile Style, một động thái tích cực từ phía nhà cung cấp cho cộng đồng sử dụng vBulletin Board rộng lớn. Chi tiết về bản cập nhật mới như sau:

-Mobile Style (điều tất nhiên) : Điều hiển nhiên là phiên bản style này tự động đều chỉnh nếu người dùng đăng nhập trên bất kì một thiết bi thoại di động nào (kể cả smartphone).

-VerticalResponse (cái này chắc phải thắc mắc nhiều) : một phần quan trọng trong bản cập nhật, hiện tại nó chỉ được cung cấp cho khách hàng chính thức của vBulletin Solutions. Tất nhiên những người dùng không chính thức như tôi sẽ không bao giờ có thể.

-Sửa lỗi, cải thiện : Sau đây là danh sách những thay đổi thường lệ của vB. Solutions.

Không lâu sau khi ra mắt bản beta của vB 4.1.2 thì bản chính thức cũng đã có mặt. Sẽ không có gì nếu vB. Solutions chỉ thay đổi tên gọi cho sản phẩm cho bản chính thức, và tất nhiên không phải chỉ có thế.

Trong danh sách cập nhật của phiên bản chính thức có sự góp mặt của một tính năng mới. Tính năng này được thông báo sẽ ra mắt trong phiên bản 4.1.3 tuy nhiên lại được đưa ra sớm hơn dự định gây bất ngờ. Tính năng này là Skimlinks, một dấu hỏi cho việc vB. Solutions đóng gói kèm nó vào sản phẩm.

• Trước tiên, ta sẽ tìm hiểu Skimlinks là gì ? Skimlinks là một chi nhánh của nhà cung cấp công nghệ hàng đầu, nhiều thông tin về Skimlinks có sẵn ở đây, họ có mặt khoảng từ năm 2008, và có rất nhiều kinh nghiệm làm việc với các diễn đàn vBulletin.
• Tính năng được sử dụng : Giúp bạn đăng kí dễ dàng Skimlinks và tích hợp nó với diễn đàn của mình.
  Cũng giống như Google Adsense (có mặt trong vBulletin ở các phiên bản trước), Skimlinks cung cấp một chức năng quảng cáo và được dùng như một dịch vụ miễn phí.
• Ứng dụng : Skimlinks cho phép bạn kiếm thu nhập từ chuyển đổi liền mạch liên kết hiện có trên trang web của bạn cho nhà bán lẻ trực tuyến hoặc các trang web bán đấu giá như eBay và Amazon và phụ thêm chúng với một liên kết. Tại thời điểm viết, Skimlinks có mối quan hệ liên kết với hơn 12.000 thương gia trong một số khu vực khác nhau để bạn có thể kiếm tiền. Skimlinks cũng có một tính năng để chuyển đổi các từ khóa nhất định vào các liên kết, được gọi là Skimwords.

Mỗi lần nó upgrade là mỗi lần buồn các mod cũ không biết có tương thích hay không

Vì thế mỗi lần chuẩn bị upgrade bạn phải disable các mod, sau đó mới mở lần để kiểm tra, nhưng theo thông lệ, các bản từ 4.0.5-4.0.7, 4.0.8-4.1.0 và 4.1.1-4.1.2 không phải lo mod.
